The Word Of God- History Part 1:

"He brought us out... That He might bring us in... -Deuteronomy 6:23

Confirmation-
*Promises to Abram:
" I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing." Genesis 12

*God's Covenant with Abram:
"After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, "Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." Genesis 15

*Abraham's Faith Confirmed:
God did tempt Abraham- And he said, "Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
That in blessing I will bless thee and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore;
and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
[because thou hast obeyed my voice]." Genesis 22

*The previous Command to enter Canaan:
These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab. And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the Lord had given him in commandment unto them; On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying, Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
Deuteronomy 1:1, 3, 5, 8

vs. 1- "These are The Words"

Note:
The 11 day journey took 38 years, 8 months and 20 days.
-Long Term Rebellion (Refusal to believe God).

*Josiah Reigns in Judah:
Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

*Hilkiah Finds The Book of The Law:
And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan (the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam), the scribe, to the house of the Lord, saying,
"Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:
And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord :
and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the Lord, to repair the breaches of the house, Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house."
Howbeit [there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.]

*Dealt Faithfully verses Unfaithfully:
"This he said (Judas), not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein."
"For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor." John 12:6; 13:29

-Continued
And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe,
"I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord."
And [Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it].
And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said,
"Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord."
And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, "Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book."
And [Shaphan read it before the king.] And it came to pass, when [the king had *heard the words of the book of the law], that he rent his clothes.
"Go ye, enquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, [concerning the words of this book that is found]: for great is [the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book], to do according unto all that which is written concerning us." 2 Kings 22:1-11, 13

To be continued...

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8 KJV)
